The Coronavirus and associated risks are now well-known and no longer an “unforeseen event”. 

We will remain open to accepting new bookings, however, it is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with the Tier restrictions in place in your area at the time of making the booking. 

2nd December 2020 – Return to Local Tier System

26th November 2020

From 00:01 on the 2nd December 2020, England will return to a localised Tier system with each local area reviewed every 14 days.

Existing Bookings affected by the new Tier system:

Bookings made with us directly or via HomeAway/VRBO:

  • Please contact us and we will do all that we can to help facilitate a change of dates for your booking or where a change of dates isn’t suitable for you, a full refund in line with our flexible cancellation policy.

If you booked with Airbnb, Booking.com, or TripAdvisor Rentals:

  • Contractually, we cannot make any changes to bookings that originated via these online travel agents. Therefore, please contact them directly for assistance and they will in turn make any changes.

New Bookings:

If you knowingly make a booking that contravenes the Governments Tier restrictions that are in place for your home area, at the time of making the booking, then you may not be eligible for a refund if you cannot travel or take up your holiday.

We understand the need to make future plans, therefore we will be offering free booking changes throughout 2020 and 2021 so if, at a later date, restrictions are lifted, you will be able to update your booking without paying any “change fees”.

Tier 3 – If you live in an area that is subject to Tier 3 restrictions, you should not make a booking until your area has been changed to a Tier 2 or 1.  If you place a booking for any future date, whilst subject to Tier 3 restrictions, you will not be automatically entitled to a refund should you be unable to take up your holiday.

Tier 2 – If you live in an area that is subject to Tier 2 restrictions, you can make a future booking, provided that the booking is for members of your own household or support bubble only. If you place a booking for any future date, whist subject to Tier 2 restrictions, and your booking includes guests from a different household or they are not in your support bubble, you will not be automatically entitled to a refund should you be unable to take up your holiday.

Tier 1 – If you live in an area that is subject to Tier 1 restrictions, you can make a future booking with guests from multiple households, provided that the total occupancy of the property does not exceed six people (unless a legal exemption applies). If you place a booking for more than six people for any future date, whist subject to Tier 1 restrictions, you will not be automatically entitled to a refund should you be unable to take up your holiday.
