Longsleddle Cottages

Longsleddle is a peaceful valley just north of Kendal, much quieter than the better-known parts of the Lake District, but every bit as dramatic and beautiful. This is traditional hill farming country, with a close-knit local community and a landscape shaped by generations of farmers.

Recent efforts to restore the valley’s natural ecosystem, from adapting river flows and farming practices to planting more trees, mean it’s becoming even more special for nature lovers.
