Adam
Director
I immigrated to Kendal from South Africa in 2003. I began a career in hospitality when I first met Maria, our General Manager here at Herdwick Cottages, and soon thereafter, my fiancé, Terry. We live in Kendal with our two dogs, Betty the Airedale and Pam the Fox Terrier. In my spare time, I like to be out and about with the dogs on a nice walk or pottering in the garden at home.

Maria
General Manager
At 18, I left my hometown of Tamworth, after falling in love with the lakes. My career has always been in the hospitality industry, spanning both hands-on and office-based roles. I joined Herdwick Cottages in 2022. I love to walk around local villages, shop in independent local shops, and, most of all, spend quality time with my family. I also enjoy going on holidays, who doesn’t love a good holiday?

Born and raised in Kendal, I joined Herdwick in 2022. I’m currently studying digital marketing at Manchester Met University, hoping to improve my knowledge and skills in the area. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me out on a walk in the Lake District or spending time with my friends.
Julie

I also joined the Herdwick flock in 2022, just after Maria and Chloe. I love the outdoors and can usually be found either on a golf course or up a mountain. I also love spending time with my family, and there’s never a dull moment with my young granddaughters.
