Reeth is a lovely rural village surrounded by an amazing panorama of hills and moors. Located west of Richmond, in the middle of the two northernmost of the Yorkshire Dales, Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.
You will surely see some wonderful wildlife here while exploring the area whether on foot or on bike. Reeth has access to a number of trails, many that are perfect for cyclists. If you’re unable to bring your own bike why not hire one from the Dales Bike Centre in Fremington, only a handy 2-minute drive away.
The village offers traditional 18th and 19th century buildings, artisan and gift shops, ice-cream parlour, bakeries, and pubs. Reeth also offers a popular market in the village every Friday. You can learn of this village’s industrious people and history at the Swaledale Museum.
Visit Reeth in late May and early June to catch the entertainment of the much-loved Swaledale Festival.
Reeth is linked to Richmond and Kirkby Stephen by the B627.
