Bramley Cottage will be deservedly popular thanks to its wonderful setting in the most peaceful of village settings and all the modern comforts and outdoor space to enjoy. If you have never been to the Eden Valley before, you have missed out on a lush scenic area filled with picturesque villages, excellent pubs and a great location between the Lake District and the North Pennines - see more in our location information below.
The property is a modern barn conversion all on one level, and is fitted out to a very high standard with comfort in mind. Take your seat in the light and airy lounge area and relax while planning your days out to come. If the weather is nice, there is a lovely lawned area with seating (shared with the owners who live in the adjoining property) and also a covered area with seating which is also handy if you want to store any bikes or outdoor gear. The kitchen is very well set up with modern cupboards and appliances with all you will need to create meals or snacks. The bedroom is decorated in muted tones and a peaceful night's sleep will be yours - no street noise in this most quiet of villages. Top-notch bathroom facilities with a mains-fed shower.
Although Hunsonby is too small for a pub, you may be surprised to find the village has a community run outdoor swimming pool (just one of several in the Eden Valley) just a couple of minute's walk from Bramley Cottage. Within just a few miles of Hunsonby you will find the famous Old Village Bakery and cafe at Melmerby, the charming village of Langwathby with its railway station on the Settle - Carlisle line, beautiful stretches of the River Eden, and the ancient stone circle of Long Meg and her Daughters - and that's all within just a few miles. The high fells of the North Pennines can be reached in a 15 minute drive, while the eastern Lake District at Pooley Bridge is only 12 miles away.
